Tom McCarthy was born and lives in San Francisco where he attended S. F. State University. He has spent most of his career as a newspaper editor and reporter with work appearing in the San Francisco Chronicle, Phnom Penh (Cambodia) Post and Point Reyes Light. His poems have appeared in Green Fuse, California Quarterly, The MacGuffin, Next Parish Over, Main Street Rag Poetry Journal, Story Board and elsewhere. (2000)
