From 1959 to 2002 Poetry Northwest was published by the University of Washington. It was the longest-running poetry-only journal in the country. Not the University, but Portland poet David Biespiel will restart publication of the magazine. In its first life the magazine was a non-profit folded/stapled affair, however it will now be run for profit and included a perfect bound spine and new format. (4/25/06)
