The international festival Struga Poetry Evenings opened last night in the town of Struga, located on the Ohrid Lake in southwestern Macedonia. The four day festival features over a 100 poets from 50 countries. “Night without Punctuation” began last night at midnight and featured the UNESCO’s “Best Young Poet-Amateur” award winner Ousmane Sar-Sarrus. The festival was founded by brothers Konstantin and Dimitar Miladinov and this year’s poet laureate is Slovenia’s Tomaz Salamun.
