District of Columbia Mayor Adrian Fenty missed another meeting with poet Maya Angelou and posted this on Twitter: “Missed meeting with Dr. Maya Angelou & Dorothy Height was due to scheduling conflicts and not disrespect :-)” He didn’t post, however, that this wasn’t the first meeting with Angelou that he has missed. Angelou is attempting to meet with Fenty to discuss the sudden end of a committee in DC charged with giving youth access to “recreation, sports, technology and academics.”
