Jennifer Maier is the author of Dark Alphabet (Southern Illinois, 2006), which won the 2005 Crab Orchard Review Series in Poetry First Book Award and was named one of the Ten Remarkable Books of 2006 by the Academy of American Poets. She is a professor of modern literature and creative writing at Seattle Pacific University and an editor of the arts quarterly Image. Her poetry appears in Smartish Pace Issue 19. [2012]
