Phillis Levin is the author of four books of poetry, most recently Mercury (2001) and May Day (2008), both from Penguin, and the editor of The Penguin Book of Sonnet (Penguin, 2001). Her honors include a Fulbright Scholar Award to Slovenia, the Amy Lowell Poetry Travelling Scholarship, the Richard Hugo Prize from Poetry Northwest, and fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the NEA.
