Minnie Bruce Pratt is the author of four books of poetry including Walking Back Up Depot Street (Pittsburgh, 1999), which was named Book of the Year by ForeWord magazine in the Gay/Lesbian category, and Crime Against Nature (Firebrand, 1990), which was a Lamont Poetry Selection, received the American Library Association Gay and Lesbian Book Award for Literature and was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.
