Hava Pinhas-Cohen was born in Israel and lives in Rehovot. She is the author of five volumes of poetry including Messiah (HaKibbutz Hameuchad, 2002). She edits Dimui, a journal devoted to literature, art and Jewish culture. She was awarded the Prime Minister Award and The Luria Award. The poems appearing in Issue 15 are from the anthology, Contemporary Hebrew Poetry, forthcoming from SUNY Press in 2008. Her work appears in Smartish Pace, Issue 15. (2008)
