Shrikant Verma was a special correspondent for Dinman from 1966-1977 and in 1976 he became a member of the Rajya Sabha (upper house of the Indian Parliament). In the late 1970’s and early 1980’s he was an official and spokesman for the Congress (I) Party under Indira Gandhi.
