Daniel Mark Epstein is a poet, essayist, playwright, translator, biographer and musician. He is the author of eight volumes of poetry, most recently The Glass House (LSU, 2009), and biographies of Aimee Semple McPherson, Nat King Cole, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Walt Whitman and Abraham Lincoln. His honors include a Rome Prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship and an Academy Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. His poetry appears in Smartish Pace, Issue 11. He lives in Baltimore. Epstein will be read along with Wayne Miller at The Walters Art Museum, Baltimore, on May 31, 2009 (3pm). The reading is free and open to the public. (2009)
