Aaron Baker received an MFA from the University of Virginia in 2001 and completed a two-year Stegner Fellow in Poetry at Stanford University. He lives in Charlottesville, VA, and teaches in the creative writing program at Hollins University. He won the 2009 Shenandoah/Glasgow Prize for Emerging Writers for his book Mission Work (Houghon Mifflin, 2008). Smartish Pace was one of the first magazines to publish Baker’s work.
