Craig Arnold, 41, vanished after hiking up to the volcano on the island of Kuchinoerabu-jima in the northern Ryuky Islands of southern Japan. He is visiting the island to research a book on volcanoes. You can read the latest updates and help the private search efforts by donating at this facebook page. Craig’s poems are in Smartish Pace, Issue 15, and he is a good friend of the magazine. We are saddened by this terrible news and our thoughts and prayers are with Craig and his family.
