Leslie Ullman has written National Histories (Yale, 1979), winner of the Yale Younger Poets Prize; Dreams by No One’s Daughter (Pittsburgh, 1988) and Slow Work Through Sand (Iowa, 1998). She is professor emerita at the University of Texas, El Paso, and teaches in the low-residency MFA program at Vermont College of the Fine Arts. Her poetry appears in Smartish Pace, Issue 16 (2009).
