Alberto Rios’ nine collections of poetry include The Smallest Muscle in the Human Body (Copper Canyon, 2002), a National Book Award Finalist, and The Theater of Night (Copper Canyon, 2006). He received the Walt Whitman Award and six Pushcart Prizes. His work appears in The Norton Anthology of Modern Poetry and over 200 anthologies. He has taught at Arizona State University for 25 years.
