Mary Quade’s Guide to Native Beasts won the 2003 Cleveland State University Poetry Center First Book Prize. In 2006 she was awarded an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award. She is an assistant professor of English at Hiram College. Her poetry appears in Smartish Pace, Issue 16 (2009).
