Dawn McGuire is a neurologist and AIDS researcher, and the author of Hands On, poems, published by ZYZZYVA in 2002. She lives in Northern California with her two children. She won the Erskine J. Poetry Prize and her winning poem appears in Smartish Pace, Issue 15. (2008)
