Elizabeth Bishop (1911-1979) authored eight books of poetry, including North & South (Houghton Mifflin, 1946), winner of the Pulitzer Prize, and The Complete Poems (FSG, 1969), winner of the National Book Award. One Art: Letters, Bishop’s selected letters, was published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux in 1995.
