John Keats Home Reopens

July 23rd, 2009

The London house of John Keats will reopen tomorrow after a 500,000 pound ($800,000) renovation. Keats lived in the house near Hampstead Heath between 1818 and 1820, writing “Ode on a Grecian Urn” and “Ode to a Nightingale” there. He also courted the girl next door, Fanny Brawne, who became the love of his life. The house closed in 2007 and has been restored to its original decor.
