March 3rd, 2009
More than 100 poets from 45 countries will participate in the 2nd annual festival that runs from March 3rd to 10th. The festival will launch the opening of the Dubai House of Poetry, which the government hopes “reaffirms the emirate’s status as a centre for nurturing literary talent.” Among those attending will be 1986 Nobel Prize winner Wole Soyinka, James Fenton and Joachim Sartorius.
