American poet Donald Finkel died on November 15, 2008 at his home in St. Louis. He was 79 years old. At the time of his death he was
poet-in-residence emeritus of English in Arts & Sciences at
Washington University in St. Louis. He is the author of fourteen volumes of poetry.
